The January NJSA Dinner meeting will be held January 28, 2010 at the Hilton Woodbridge-MetroPark.  The program will be a joint meeting with the Construction Financial Managers Association and the Professional Women in Construction.  Attendees will hear an interesting and informative economic forecast presented by Patrick O'Keefe, Director of Economic Research for J.H. Cohn, and Diane Garnick, an Investment Strategist with Invesco, who has been featured on many national TV programs.  She is the Author of the soon to be released book, I'm Smarter Than My Boss! Now What ?

Almost 90 NJSA members and their guests enjoyed an evening of fun, camaraderie and simulcast horse racing at the recent Holiday Party hosted by McLoone's at Favorites.  More importantly, representatives from the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program were in attendance and left with more than 200 toys valued in excess of $2000 for underprivileged youth.  Thanks to all who made this evening a huge success.

MEMBERSHIP UPDATE

The New Jersey Subcontractors Association has proudly represented your interests throughout the State of New Jersey for more than 40 years.  During the past year your Board of Directors and Volunteer Leadership have decided that our organization and our member firms would be better served by focusing our resources here in New Jersey.  To that end, we have rescinded our affiliation with the American Subcontractors Association National Organization.  This initiative will save tens of thousands of dollars and will allow us to provide better, more focused, and more responsive service to our members.  It will allow us to concentrate our efforts on issues which impact your business here in your own backyard.

As part of this reorganization effort, we have also affiliated with the National Subcontractors Alliance and the Associated Specialty Contractors.  This new strategic alignment will allow us to provide important government advocacy in our Nation’s Capital, while again saving significant resources.  The New Jersey Subcontractors Association is affiliated with these organizations at NO CHARGE to you.
