Important Update Regarding Your NJSA Membership

New Jersey Subcontractors Association

MEMBERSHIP UPDATE

The New Jersey Subcontractors Association has proudly represented your interests throughout the State of New Jersey for more than 40 years.  During the past year your Board of Directors and Volunteer Leadership have decided that our organization and our member firms would be better served by focusing our resources here in New Jersey.  To that end, we have rescinded our affiliation with the American Subcontractors Association National Organization.  This initiative will save tens of thousands of dollars and will allow us to provide better, more focused, and more responsive service to our members.  It will allow us to concentrate our efforts on issues which impact your business here in your own backyard.

As part of this reorganization effort, we have also affiliated with the National Subcontractors Alliance and the Associated Specialty Contractors.  This new strategic alignment will allow us to provide important government advocacy in our Nation’s Capital, while again saving significant resources.  The New Jersey Subcontractors Association is affiliated with these organizations at NO CHARGE to you.

It has come to our attention that ASA National, faced with declining revenues, declining membership and a number of state level organizations rethinking the value  of the group, have started making cold calls to New Jersey subcontractors in an effort to have you pay dues to the National group separate from your State level, New Jersey based organization.

Please know that as always you are welcome to join any organization that you wish, but also recognize that calls and letters from American Subcontractors Association are in no way affiliated with your State level organization, and in no way contributes to any of our work to create a better, more productive and more profitable business environment for subcontractors here in our home state.

The New Jersey Subcontractors Association has mailed dues invoices to our member firms in the amount of $895, which includes a $100 voluntary contribution for our political action committee.  Your continued support and membership in the New Jersey Subcontractors Association will help us as we continue our aggressive and proactive strategy to improve service to you, represent your interests in Trenton and Washington, provide you with opportunities to learn and network, and ultimately to make New Jersey a better place for subcontractors to be successful and profitable.

Now more than ever it is critical that we have a strong and united presence, here in New Jersey, on behalf of the Subcontracting community. If you have any questions about the re-energized and re-organized NJSA, please call me directly at 732-223-5010.

Thank you very much for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Kevin P. Monaco
