Dear NJSA Members and Friends:
We are coming to the close of another successful year for the organization. It was less than 2 years ago that your Board Members and other association leaders unveiled a strategic plan to revitalize the NJSA and to actively work to provide you with real value and real results to help you run your business more productively and more profitably. Over the last year NJSA has:
- Provided a wide range of educational programs including employment law, business and succession planning, bonding and insurance, and more.
- Created a number of new business development opportunities including programs with Rutgers University and Princeton University as well as a Meet with GC's Night with more than 20 of the region's leading General Contractor firms in attendance.
- Actively lobbied for the best interests of the subcontracting community, over the past year, NJSA leaders have met regularly with policy leaders including Senior Staff in the Governor's office, Legislative Leaders, and Cabinet officials. NJSA is now clearly recognized as a key player on policy issues which impact construction. Among our successes was lobbying Governor Christie to veto legislation which would have allowed public entities to hire employees direct from union halls, eliminating the contractor from the process completely.
We appreciate your past support, and ask that if you see value in membership, refer a colleague, competitor or vendor.
As always, call me directly if the NJSA can ever be of assistance on any matter. Our mission is to make you more productive and more profitable and to create a business environment where subcontractors can thrive.
Thanks,
Kevin Monaco
